Prague hosts the largest wind music festival in the world
The Sounds of Žofín will feature an incredible 1,800 musicians from all over the world, playing 32 concerts over 4 days! The festival takes place as part of the WASBE (World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles) conference in honour of Czech-American composer Karel Husa, whose Music for Prague 1968 is an iconic work of the symphonic wind repertoire, and with a year’s delay will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
